All about HACCP Registration
HACCP Registration is an international standard that defines
the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point. A HACCP System requires that
potential hazards are identified and controlled at specific points in the
process. This includes biological, chemical or physical hazards.
Any company involved in the manufacturing, processing or
handling of food products can use HACCP to minimize or eliminate food safety
hazards in their product.
There seven Principles:
- Conducting the hazard analysis
- Identifying the critical control points
- Establish a maximum or minimum limit for temperature, time, salt level, chlorine level or other processing that will control the hazard.
- Establish the critical limits
- Establish monitoring procedures
- Establish Corrective action
- Record keeping and verification
Process involved in getting the ISO registration includes
a) filing of the application with prescribed organization,
b) auditing of the company documents by the auditor in checking the quality management meeting specified criteria to his best satisfaction and
c) Once the auditor is satisfied, he prepares a report and if everything is fine and positive report, then ISO Registration is granted by the authority
